In excellent condition... no breaks, chips, cracks, repairs, etc. This beautiful and rare Italian Ceramic Altar Statue of St. John the Evangelist, is made by Professor Eugenio Pattarino. Made in Florence, Italy, in the 1950's or early 1960's, these pieces are becoming increasingly rare because the famous Italian ceramicist's studio was destroyed in the great flood of Florence in the late 1960's. The piece is signed by Pattarino. It measures 14.5 inches tall, and is 5 inches wide at its base. The colors are beautiful and the piece is trimmed in gold. The symbol of St. John - the eagle - is at his feet, next to the richly colored vestment. A GREAT FIND! Buyer will pay $35 packing, handling, shipping, and insurance on this beautiful piece.
