Rare oil company lucite advertising paperweight containing an oil drop and a miniature derrick commemorating General Electric's sale of the Ladd Petroleum Corp. to Amax Oil & Gas in 1990. This large block of clear see-through lucite measures 6.5" by 4.5" by 1" thick. Inside is a brass plaque reading "General Electric Company - has sold - Ladd Petroleum Corporation - to - Amax Oil & Gas Inc. - The undersigned initiated this transaction, assisted in the negotiations and acted as financial advisor to General Electric Company - Kidder, Peabody & Co. Incorporated". Inside to the upper right is a globule of real crude oil, and below it is a miniature gold metal model of an oil derrick. This commemorative paperweight is in great shape with no noticeable chips or cracks. A great piece of oil company memorabilia. Win it with your best bid.
