DESCRIPTION: Up for auction is an truly unique and breathtaking oversized antique quarter sawn tiger oak dresser from the 1880s or so. The dresser has its original beveled mirror with a tiny amount of silver loss below the carved decoration. The mirror is held up by incredibly intricate carvings that have detailed leafy, feather-like plumage on top. The dresser has four dove tailed drawers with their original hardware and skeleton key holes. T is a tiny boo boo (pictured with my finger to show how miniscule it really is), nothing distracting. That is the only damage on the top, the rest of the top is beautiful, see picture 6 for a close up of the oak detail! This dresser may have small scratches and un-touched-up wear that you would expect on items that are in daily use in our upscale Boutique Hotel. In short, you should expect to do polishing and cleaning of the item to the degree necessary to bring it to your desired level of "perfection"... We think this piece is breathtaking, a 10 in our eyes! Some measurements: 71 inches tall, 22 inches across the widest point, 51 inches long. The mirror measures 36x44 inches.
