AMAZING 20s Lace Wedding Dress Flapper Headband & Photo

underslips and construction

Lace! Lace! Lace! This fabulous dress (used originally as a wedding dress) includes the matching headband (used originally as a belt) as well as a photo of the 1920s wedding bride, groom and attendants. The dress looks and seems quite fragile but it is in incredibly good condition. It is constructed with a fully attached and full length undersupport as well as a full length silk slip. The lace is attached horizontally to a stretchy, gauzy type fabric. The lace, for all its fragile look, is torn in very few places. It has come loose in 3 places and t are two stained areas in the back. I believe these could be easily repaired by cutting away the stained sections and using a section of the the bottom row to replace. It is small but it is quite long. These are the dimensions measured on a hanger: from top of bodice to hem 52"; straps from top to join bodice 7"; bust 16"; waist 16"; hips 18"; hem 45"; belt (headband) measures 26; The bow on the belt is 4"D. The lower part of this dress is very full (at the hem). T are 6 snaps at the top of the dress. The lace is sewn onto a gauzy like fabric and then t is another layer of the gauzy fabric under that and then t is a full length silk slip finishing it off. It is very professionally put together. Included is an original 8 x 10 hand tinted photo of the wedding party, bride, groom and attendants. The photo does have a tear as shown. Otherwise, it is in very good condition. The photo makes a very interesting and beautiful display with the dress and headband on a mannequin in your home or shop. All of these items were purchased 20 years ago at a Washington, DC, estate sale.

I am listing separately a lovely wedding veil consisting of WAX orange blossoms as the head piece.
