Presenting an Amazing Antique Tiger Stripe Oak Empire Library Table. Rare to see on eBay or anyw, this is a heavy, solid "Mission Empire" table featuring a thick "Tiger Stripe" Oak top resting on Massive Quartersawn Oak Legs. Superb 19th century design with some of the most amazing, highly figured Tiger Stripe grain patterns I have ever seen. The legs are 3.5 inches thick and slightly tapered for a "Column" appearance. They are Quartersawn on all 4 sides. Thick quartersawn veneers were used to achieve this "quadilinear" look. The top is 1 & 1/4 inches THICK, also with beautiful Tiger Stripe figure. This is a Empire Trestle Base design with a thick bottom shelf measuring 10.5 inches by 33.5 inches long. Great to hold your Computer CPU! Wide, Top Drawer has a Solid Quartersawn Oak slab front. It flows into the surrounding table apron all around. T is a small patch of wood visible on the back apron- see pix. Classic Mission oak, dark golden oak color really accentuates the grain! Wonderful antique aged appearance. Measures 28 inches by 48 inches by 29 inches high, rests on Substantial, 4 & 1/2 inch thick Curled Empire feet with Hand Incised Carving.. T is provision for swivel casters on the bottoms (I probably have some if you would like). This awesome Empire Library Table has such a great look & would be perfect for a Desk, Computer Desk, Work Table, anyw!
