This high quality papier-mache lacquer box was hand-made in Russia in the village Kholui. Kholui is one of the four art centers in Russia known for their miniature painting. This box is painted and signed by a professional artist of Kholui. Egg Tempera, golden paint, mother-of-pearl base. Exclusive quality shiny lacquer finish and polish. The outside of the box is painted traditional black with a fine golden pattern and the inside is red. The size of the box is 5 3/4 x 3 1/2 x 1 1/8 inches. This unique artwork looks much better in person. Wonderful collectable item! This box can be the most special detail in the decoration of your house!
