GORGEOUS HARDLY DESCRIBES THIS AMAZING ANTIQUE VASELINE TO CRANBERRY GLASS EPERGNE.
AKA: RUBINA VERDE. I CANNOT SAY FOR CERTAIN IF THIS IS FRENCH ART GLASS OR BRITISH ART GLASS, MY GUESS IS FRENCH. IT IS STUNNING !!! THE ACTUAL BASE THAT APPEARS TO BE BRONZE WITH A DRUMMER BOY....STANDS 13 1/2" TALL. THE BOWL ITSELF MEASURES 10 1/2" WIDE X 3" TALL. THE EPERGNE HORN MEASURES 9" TALL X 5 3/4" WIDE AT THE RUFFLED OPENING. AND THE TOTAL HEIGHT IS 24" TALL. I PURCHASED THIS BEAUTY MYSELF FROM EUROPE. I AM NOT SURE EXACTLY, BUT I BELIEVE IT IS ALSO CALLED ORMALU ?(THE BRONZE PORTION)....CONDITION: The bowl has one tiny piece of white sand in it; plus a few more tiny flecks of black sand, extremely tiny and quite common with this age of art glass. The epergne horn has some brown dirt in the very bottom and cannot been seen when the horn sits in the holder (see photo below of horn) I am sure it can be removed properly as it is old flower dirt, as in dirt from the earth.....t is a small chip around the very center of the bowl with some additional roughness w the epergne holder screws into it and cannot be seen when put together (see photo close up below). Also, this is sooooo very common with this style and age of epergne; t are a few white specks on the base by the drummer boys feet. The base is hollow......no dents whatsoever.......other than what I mention for complete accuracy this piece is in wonderful condition with no cracks or chips anyw else. It glows bright neon green under a black light. Truly a work of European art glass. Please email any questions you may have. Payment is due within 7 days of auction end date.
