AMAZING HAVILAND FRANCE LIMOGES HANDPAINTED PANSY PLATE Description :Welcome to The Treasure Port We com bi ne shipping on any of our auctio ns in order to save us b oth money! Amazing! Gorgeous! Stunning! Ok, those are OUR adjectives, but we're betting you're saying the same thing, because this is a beautiful example of hand-painted Limoges. This lovely plate is 8 1/2" across and has the green "Haviland France" backstamp dating it to between 1894 - 1931. The rim is trimmed heavily in gold and has very little wear. Beautiful, vibrant colors in the hand-painted Irises. Hard as we looked, we could not find a signature to indicate an artist. We found a dot (1/16") of paint missing 1/4" away from the bottom of the plate. It looks like maybe it was a teeny air bubble trapped beneath the paint that popped during the second firing. We examined the plate under our lighted magnifying glass and found to very small, faint scratches. And that's ALL we found! We found NO ISSUES outside of the one tiny glaze pop it does NOT detract! No nicks, chips, cracks, breaks, repairs or staining. Now for the particulars: Questions: Please ask questions before you bid!
