The Amazing Spider-Man#129 CGC Graded9.8 Near Mint to Mint condition White Pages Highest grade existing First appearance of The Punisher and The JackalCGC barcode #0800471001 printed by Marvel Comics in February of 1974 Gerry Conway storyRoss Andru, Frank Giacoia and Dave Hunt artGil Kane and John Romita cover art According to the CGC census only 9 copies of this issue exist in this gradewith none graded higher. Another 9.8 copy sold for $14,340 in February 2008 at a well known auction house but that copy had the black smudges very common with this issue near the staples and was slightly mis-wrapped. It also had some color flecks missing on the right side of the blue Marvel Comics Group label and had a mis-placed slightly deformed lower staple. This stellar copy presented has none of those defects andonly has the most subtle bend on the spine. With the new Punisher movie coming outin 2008 and this issues 30+ year track record of increasing in value it should prove to be a great investment for years to come.I will be putting more detailed focused photos of this item up towards the middle ofnext week.
