Up for grabs is a low grade, CGC G+ 2.5 copy, of Amazing Spider-Man# 14, the 1st APP. of the Green Goblin!!! Marvel Comics Group circa 1964. This is obviously NOT a high grade copy, but it IS a real solid example of the book, and has been in my collection for the last 30 years, stored very well. The book is IMO a far better looking copy than it's given grade, nice overall integrity, staples are clean and tight, and the BACK cover looks more like a Fine 6.0 copy. This book was graded by CGC within their first two months of operation, back in 2001, and I still personally believe they graded a 1/2 grade tighter than at present. Also, I have put up a CGC VG 4.0 copy for a comparison, and although the 4.0 looks a bit better, specifically along the spine, but overall the difference is not that great at all between the two books. A nice, solid, copy for the collector that is passionate, but cannot currently afford a higher grade book. My "buy it now" is a good deal, consider it, especially when you consider how this copy stacks up against the VG 4.0 copy. I try to always provide solid scans with my books, so a visual determination of the book is possible, regardless of MY opinions and text.
