stunning amboyna and ebony jardiniere Description Absolutely stunning jardiniere veneered in amboyna and ebony with boxwood stringing in a geometric design, supported on tapering legs with a stretcher decorated with gilt brass mounts. The quality of this is comparable to the very best makers of the period and it is a rare few jardinieres of this quality where made. This would look stunning in a conservatory or a grand entrance hall , great for planting or flower arrangements , or for complete decadence filled with ice and champagne. It has a zinc liner which at some stage in its past has been coated with a resin lacquer to secure its waterproofing , the whole liner can be remover for planting or cleaning.The condition is excellent however it is an antique and should therefore have wear tear and signs of use commensurate with its age, as you would expect.
