You are viewing an original vintage American Airlines travel poster or advertising poster. I believe the airplane flying through the steer heads above the oil derricks, or drilling rigs, and the Texas skyline to be a Lockheed Electra. The poster shows 4 large Texas Longhorns and the background in black ink against the brown are drawings of the Texas skyline, Texas oil rigs, The state flower of Texas , tall pines (wow...I lived in Texas 10 years and don't quite remember tall pines...maybe t are two t and that's why they made it in the poster ), Texas refineries, etc. Date circa 1950's to 1960Artist: Joseph Charles Parker (1924- )Size 30 x 40 inchesSubject TEXASColors: brown, red, off-white or cream, yellow, gray, light pastel blue, dark navy blue, black. Condition: see photos... the main part of the poster, or center is good condition with no folds however the outside edges has some tears as you can see in the photos and all the edges around the outside of the poster are in rough shape. The 1 inch boarder around the poster has a section of missing boarder. part of it towards the bottom left side, I layed next to the poster to show w it goes. You can see in the photos that the edges are rough. The edges can be restored and it would increase value to have this mounted on linen.
