Offered here is a wonderful old and scarce American Anglermagazine from 1920. The American Angler was the leading fishing periodical from 1881 (as a tabloid weekly) until 1923 when it merged with Field & Stream. There are great articles in this magazine including Winter Fishing, Deep Sea Fishing at Long Beach, Cal., Trout Memories of Maine, Taking Tarpon in Mexico, Night Fishing, Trout Fishing, Fishing the Far Northwest, Big Pike-Perch at Greenwood Lake, The Wooden Minnow of the Ozarks, Grayling in British Columbia, How to Become a Surf Caster, and lots more. There are tackle ads by Heddon, Al Foss, Thomas Rods, Meisselbach and South Bend. The covers and spine show edge wear and are dirty. The interior of the magazine is in good shape, but showing a few folds and some dirt. Most of the interior is very clean, tight and bright. Overall the magazine is fair to good. This is a small format magazine at approximately 7 x 10 inches. Buyer pays $5.00 for USPS Priority Mail shipping for up to three magazines.
