Up for auction is this wonderful double bank Oak S Roll Top desk. The roll is perfect and operates freely. The right hand bank of drawers has a fold down panel with three smaller "secret" drawers as shown in one of the pictures. The drawer under that has 2 wooden file holders. The left 3 bottom drawers are deep and roomy. Inside drawers have 3 small pullouts on each side and 2 long, shallow drawers underneath the pullouts. In between pullouts, you will see nice pockets for papers etc.. The desk is on casters which are original, and the dimensions are as follows: Width-48 inches, Hight-45 inches, and depth-30 inches. The lock part which is in the desk top needs replacing, and the lock for the fold down panel needs replaced. Neither affects the operation of the desk, it just makes it complete. These locks can be obtained from Van Dyke's Restorers catalog. Aside from what appear to be a few paint spatters, the finish is very good with a great patina. Structurally, the desk is very solid and clean. This sale is for pick up, or buyer-arranged packing and shipping. Please be sure to examine all the photographs and ask questions prior to bidding. White spot on pic is from camera. Bonus!!! > Found in drawer were shopping lists and journal of groceries and price of items listed. Great little treasure. PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A HISTORY WITH EBAY..MUST HAVE AT LEAST 5 SUCCESSFUL TRANSACTIONS IN ORDER TO BE ACCEPTED AS BIDDER OF THIS AUCTION. THANK YOU!
