Offered for auction is this marked, artist signed and dated Belleek C A C unlidded stein. It is made by the Ceramic Art Company and marked with their "palette mark" stamp (1889-1906). The stein is signed on the bottom, we think it reads, "M. Hunt '05". The stein stands about 5 1/2" tall, the base is just over 4" in diameter. We think the portrait is that of a drinking monk, as shown in the pictures. We detected a very small, 1/16" , flaw in the top rim which we think was a factory flaw as the gold rim paint covers it, see the pictures. T is no crazing in the glaze and we detected no cracks, chips or repairs in the piece. Buyer pays USPS Priority shipping and required insurance. Payment is due within 10 days of invoice.
