You are bidding on an American Bisque Blackboard Clown Cookie Jar that was made in Williamstown, West Virginia by The American Bisque Pottery Co. in the 1950's. A Hard To Find Cookie Jar it is a Real Classic! This Cookie Jar is marked Patent Pending USA between the dry wedged feet on a glazed over Cream colored base. It is also marked USA on the back at the Base of the Jar. This American Bisque Classic Stands 13 3/4" tall with the Lid on. Fine Example of an Original ABC Collectible. Would make a Great Addition for your American Bisque, Clown, Blackboard, or Cookie Jar Collection! It Can be seen on page 63 in The American Bisque Collectors Guide by Mary Jane Giacomini or on page 39 in The Wonderful World of Cookie Jars by Mark and Ellen Supnick. Very Hard to find and seldom seen in this condition ! T are No Chips, Cracks, or Repairs that I can find. T is Very Light Crazing on the inside base at the bottom of this Clown Cookie Jar. Overall a Very Nice Original American Bisque Blackboard ! This ABC Cookie Jar has been in a Display Cabinet in my Personal Collection in a smoke free home for the last 15 years. As Good as the Come! All Vintage, Antique, or Used Items are sold in, As In Condition. Some Wear Should be Expected. Please realize describing Every Minute flaw on handmade Pottery is Very Difficult.
