1 - American Brilliant Blackmer Tumbler Columbia Pattern Beautiful A. L. Blackmer cut glass tumbler. Blackmer like Hawkes produced some of the finest glass of the American Brilliant period. This is one of Blackmer's best known patterns. The tumbler is cut in the "Columbia" pattern. This is one of their most sought after patterns. It is cut with a chains of well done hobstars, flashed fancy fans and unusual chains of hob buttons which is a pattern trademark. It is a very well designed pattern. I have included a pattern photo from the ACGA Blackmer catalog showing a tumbler. The photo is from page 27. I think this would be considered a whiskey tumbler. The blank is excellent quality. It is blown and crystal clear. The cutting is superb. Overall this is a very well done piece. The tumbler measures 3 1/2 inches tall and 3 inches diameter. It is in excellent condition and the rim is original. It flouresces under the blacklight to indicate American Brilliant Period (1876 to 1916).
