Lot #300 AntiqueAmerican BrilliantHand Cut GlassCrystal Serving Bowl SIGNED BERGEN!! No Reserve ~WOW~ This is a gorgeous, highly decorated piece! We recently acquired this Vintage item from a very old East Coast estate. This auction is for ONE beautifully hand cut Lead Crystal Serving Bowl from the American Brilliant Period Signed by Bergen (WOW!) and features a super detailed and extra ornate multi-cut Spinning Hobstar design! This large and unusual Round Bowl measures 7 1⁄2" in diameter (at the widest point) and 3 3⁄4" tall/deep! It is extremely fancy with exceptionally sharp edges and very deep cuts; the blank is bright and crystal water clear. The design features a large center Spinning Hobstar; surrounded by more Spinning Hobstars, regular stars, mini-checks, fans and long sweeping lines-- absolutely gorgeous!! The top edge is round sawtooth carved with a wave pattern. The inside base is marked with the acid etched " Bergen " signature stamp. This bowl is in Excellent overall condition; t are even next to none of the usual tiny nicks or fleabites -- please see supersized pics below for exact detail. Because of the Extraordinary amount of decoration and cutting on this piece, as well as it having the hard-to-find " Bergen " signature, this makes this overall beauty very collectible and it displays extremely well. We estimate this Antique Bowl to have been produced around the turn of the century, 1900.
