This lovely American Brilliant Period cut glass bell measures approx. 5 ½ inches tall and is approx. 3 inches in diameter at the bottom. The handle has six panels and the top is diamond cut all over. Below the handle, the pattern consists of an alternating motif. T are three 16 pt. Hobstars that have triangles of crosshatch around them. T are fans and zipper cuts all around . The clapper is on a silver (sterling ?) chain and is attached to the inside of the bell actually encased inside the glass (not glued in). The clapper is a facet cut glass ball with a tiny point on the bottom. It has a crystal clear ringing tone too! This piece is in excellent condition. It sparkles like fine cut diamonds. It does not have any chips, flakes or cracks on the bell itself. T is a perfect round ring of marks all around the inside w the crystal clapper hits the inside of the bell but it does not in any way take away from the beauty of this piece. This could probably be polished right off with glass cleaner. The clapper has a couple of very tiny, tiny flakes w it has hit the inside of the bell when shaken. The blank is clear with a water white color. Considering the age and quality of this piece I would say it is in near mint condition. I don't think you will find many more this nice. It is black light tested and guaranteed to be American Brilliant Period cut glass. This cut glass bell is a wonderful choice for your American Brilliant collection. It is easily displayed in your showcase and will add a beautiful sparkle. Bells are highly collectible and make a lovely change for your cut glass. If you don't have a bell in your collection, this is one you won't want to miss out on! Please email if you have information to share about this lovely piece. I cannot find a signature nor do I know the pattern name, but would love to hear from anyone who might have more information. I have had this piece in my personal collection for many years. Thanks for looking and happy bidding.
