This is a near mint 13" PRE-PATENT Caracul Tiny Tears by American Character with her original case with a great layette. This adorable doll was made in early 50's before AC got a patent on the dolls. It's rare and wonderful to find a doll this age in such great condition. Her clear shiny eyes are an unusual color for a Tiny Tears but her eyes are original and not replaced eyes. The eyes are a blue/grey color with all of her eyelashes top and bottom. She still retains her full one stroke eyebrows. Her cheeks are still softly blushed with not rub marks and her lip color is in excellent shape. Her face is in excellent condition with no scratches or marks. Her eyes open and close easily. Her body is in superb condition with no obvious crazing and no cracks or tears. The body is still soft and very poseable with all her fingers and toes. The joints are still tight and she poses easily. The only minor defect is that there is slight roughness on one of her fingers but other then that the fingers are still firmly in place. Her red caracul hair is in fantastic shape and still holds it tight curl with no missing areas in the wig. She comes with her original blue case with red handle and the case is in very good shape. Her layette consists of the following: Her original pink and white Tiny Tears dress with matching bonnet and panties which she is wearing. The dress is in excellent condition. Original white and pink edged diaper with original safety pin still attached. Two original clothes pins Bar of Ivory Tiny Tears soap Repo white and pink edged washcloth and sponge Bubble pipe Original glass bottle Repo Kleenex marked Tiny Tears Pink baby bracelet Original pink and white booties Original kimono Romper marked Tiny Tears Original Tiny Tears hanger Original pink and white rose print dress in excellent condition Original pink Tiny Tears pacifier with original pink ribbon (please note that this particular doll originally came with a rubber pacifier but it's very rare to find one and the majority of the time the tip of the rubber pacifier is broken off so we have replaced the rubber one with an original pink pacifier original to later Tiny Tears) What a wonderful treasure of a Tiny Tears doll with case and layette to own! You will absolutely love it!
