This rare early American pewter mug was recently discovered in a Newport RI estate. The mug was made in Providence Rhode Island by Samuel Hamlin. Hamlin worked in Providence from 1773-1801. This late colonial / early Federal period mug stands 4 1/4 inches tall and measures 4 inches in diameter. T is a "Samuel Hamlin" touch mark just below the rim next to the handle. T are a few small dents but overall this rare american pewter mug is in very good condition! Buyer pays shipping & insurance. NO RESERVE!
