17 (43 cm.) Composition socket head, painted facial features, blue eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, very short fringed lashes, feathered brwos, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, blonde human hair in short boyish side-parted fashion, five piece body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Effanbee USA. Comments: designed by Dewees Cochran for Effanbee s American Children Series, circa 1938. Value Points: the rarer boy model has fine original finish, beautifully painted face, original costume comprising blue serge jacket and shorts, white shirt, silk plaid tie, shoes, socks, (added) beanie cap.
