This tile is from my Great Grandfathers shoemakers mansion fireplace home in Lynn, Ma. They lived there from the 30s through the 60s. The mansion had to be torn down, for reasons I was never relayed, and my Grandfather removed them and mahogany fireplace, what a piece that was! They have been well cared for many years.Reads on back: American encaustic tiling co limited. New York works zaneville, Oh. Of course these are from the 1800s and have lived in great care for generations. YES there are a few corner nicks as pictured. Mostly they were from their original removal. Thankfully the images are clean and one can see crazing as one would expect. They will frame beautifully or as your intentions see fit. I consider them in "very good condition" despite the limited nicks as a set is very hard to come by. I am terribly saddened to sell but have other financial matters.Mostly I sell horse stuff on eBay and Legos. I have had one negative comment since 1998 recently because an item was said not to be received. This is bunk bc I had tracking confirmation and why they were unhappy with a Lego whitehouse I do not know.Thanks for your interest and they will be packaged perfectly.
