A Fabulous and most unusaul American Flame Mahogany Plantation Desk Ca 1790 with fully fitted interior of pidgoen holes and birds eye maple fronted drawers, two large drawers to the underneath with original hardware on bracket feet. The large writing slope on this desk folds up to resemble a piano when fully closed. It has had the red leather recently replaced. This is truly a great piece and is signed by a previous owner and dated inside one of the smaller drawers. The previous owner purchased this desk in Charlotsville in the 30's and she was told it had decended down through the 'Adams' family.
