Item Description American flyer number 15 directronic rectifier by the Gilbert company New Haven Connecticut USA. This was produced between 1948-1952 for converting to DC power. To convert your AC transformer to DC you can use a # 15 directronic rectifier, then change directions using the direction switch. As locos with a universal motor, which is most of the AC Gilbert American Flyers. To be able to run them on DC you do not need to do anything besides make the track DC. Once again the # 15 directronic rectifier is in good shape for its age but have some scratches nicks and dings from age and use. Thus all could stand a good cleaning, sold as is no returns.
