This is a fantastic condition very rare boxed White's Discount Auto Store Set. The overall condition of the set is C8. The show piece, the White's box car, is in C8 condition and is one of the top 3 condition freight cars in my collection. I have owned and sold many of these cars over the years, but the one in this set is the best. The rest of the cars in the set, which are quite insignificant by themselves, are all in C7-8 probably more in the range of C8, but when placed in this set, they gain some overall value. The SF F9 engines are in C8 condition with original nose decals that are worn a bit. I have attached a photo depicting the worse of the 2 nose decals. Originals are hard to find on the engines these days. Furthermore, the powered 21206 unit actually runs great and easily pulls all the cars in this set. Oftentimes, the drive gear to the power trucks is stripped and the engine runs but the wheels do no turn. That is not the case here, the engine runs! Now for the rare part, the box. It is in solid C7 condition with the set number stamp light, but clearly readable. Also there is the shipping stamp from the AF factory to the White's Auto Store which is in great condition and is clearly readable.
