I am thinning out my collection and parting with duplicates and parts. Please carefully read the entire listing and inspect the photographs. I will be happy to answer any questions received in a timely manner. Up for auction is this rare and hard to find American Flyer #3001 9 1/2" Lithographed "Columbia" Coach made about 1921-23. It has the earliest version of the harpoon coupler as well as the early trucks. It is also the version that would have the car to car wire connection for lighting that was powered from the Loco). Lithographed in brown and light orange with a brown roof. Couplers are intact. All original and complete except it doesn't have the optional light wiring kit. Normally would be pulled by a black or brown #3020 Engine. Harder to find than the Illini cars and this example is better than most Columbias that turn up. This example's condition is as follows: Roof is VG (C6) with a few scratches and scrapes. One side is EX-(C7-) owing a light amount of litho alligatoring (hardly noticeable). The other side is VG(C6) with a few nicks and slight alligatoring. Both ends are is EX- (C7-). Frame, coupler, and trucks are VG+ (C6+) with a few minot scratches while the wheels and axles are G (C5) with moderate surface rust/oxi. Dull and could benefit from a good cleaning and polishing of the litho/paint. It has n o reserve read more
