Having serviced Lionel transformers for almost 30 years for some of the finest Chicago area hobby shops, you are assured of receiving a fully functional transformer! Check my feedback! Selling and repairing train transformers is my specialty! Here's a CLEAN 30B 2 rain transformer that is about the size of a Lionel ZW! The power cord was replaced and both throttle bodies w/NEW/OLD STOCK parts! Both "dead-man" handles are original! A #2445-24 volt bulb was installed below the center green bulb cover to reduce the heat output, hopefully extending the life of the green bulb cover that distorts from heat because it is always illuminated when transformer is operating! The secondary coil was cleaned and all functions work perfectly including the circuit breaker, max. voltage output 19.6 volts in spite of what the back plate says! The baseplate of this 30B was removed then sandblasted to remove minor rust both throttle bodies are tight to the shaft! The box shown is not original but from my repro box line and will be an asset to getting this 30B to buyers destination intact and will keep the 30B clean when not in use, it has no insert!
