I am re-listing this because I have taken the engine apart and now have a better understanding as to what has been done to the locomotive.

This is a American Flyer "S" gauge # 322 Northern Locomotive and Tender. Early version with the smoke unit in the tender. The tender is definitely a 100% original 1947 tender. The boiler is an original American Flyer 332 but it is a later 1948 or 49 that has been converted to use the early tender. This 332 has an original Flyer DC motor and therefore no reverse unit. I guess you could change it to AC but the e-unit would have to go in the locomotive since there is no room in the tender. There is also no slot in the top of the boiler for the reverse unit lever. The paint on both pieces is all original and in E- condition with some minor paint loss. Tender has all four original steps. As you can tell by the shiny valve gear the set has been cleaned and it runs and smokes fine. The paint is missing on the brass steam generator on the top of the engine. W ill weigh 6 to 7 pounds packed and can be shipped Priority Mail or UPS Ground. Please read "all" the information below before you bid .
