Up for sale is this rare 3 piece American Flyer Diesel unit, the Chief. It consists of 470, 471 & 473. All in great condition. No black showing through the chrone finish. Fresh out of an estate attic. Been dry stored since 1959 based on that year's newspaper wrapped around each piece. I have no way to check if it runs but have no doubt it does. No damage to any of the cars. Decals are good. Everything is right about this set. One thing I did notice is that there is crazing in the red paint. More so on one engine than the other. Very little playwear here. Most of the cars and locos in this purchase were in their original boxes. Unfortunately these 3 pieces didn't have their boxes. I will be listing more trains from this estate as time allows. Figure on 7 lb to ship. Please do not pay until you get an invoice from me as I wish to add insurance.
