I will be listing this week and in the coming weeks a number of vintage American Flyer engines, cars and accessories I recently found at an estate. I am not a train collector or expert, and do not pretend to know how to grade old trains, so encourage you to look at my pictures and ask questions - I will reply to the best of my ability. This auction is for a # 497 New Haven diesel engine. It appears to be in very good condition with good paint and nice clear lettering. All the steps are in place - the only issue I see is the horn on the top is broken off. There is no rust at all. Again, I have no way to test this engine and it is sold as is but because of the cosmetic condition, I wouldn't doubt that it runs.
