Up for auction are a Prewar American Flyer O Gauge 545 Steam Engine and Tender with original boxes. This engine was produced in limited quantities just before World War II. This one is in all around excellent running condition. Overall there is very minor play wear and appears to have limited run time. The engine lights, e-unit cycles and the engine runs perfectly in both directions. The paint is in great shape. The marker jewels are original and the drives and connecting rods are like new. One wheel on the trailing truck has begun to split at the flange but is not failing. The box is has all flaps and is marked #544 Pathfinder Locomotive. The tender is in superb condition with clear crisp lettering. The finish is bright with no rust or damage anywhere. It appears to have no run time at all. The box is complete with all tabs and marked 421 Tender. Emailed questions promptly answered. It comes from a smoke free home.
