Hello: I have an American Flyer #717 LOG UNLOADING CAR. The car was made from 1946 to 1952. I believe this style car was made in 1948. The car is in super good shape, 1 flaw, There are 2 small dents in the side. I hope the picture can show them. The car is rust free. The link couplers, with Brass Weights, are in very good shape. The axles and wheels are rust free. The 4 steps ( I think they are supposed to be steps at each corner.), are all present. On one end "717" in white letters, on the other end "AMERICAN over FLYER over LINES" in white letters. All the letters on both ends are present and very readable. The bottom of the car is very clean. I had one problem with the car: When the car was empty, or one log it worked great. When you used 2 or 3 logs, it would just hum. The control button, top and bottom, is in very good shape. The contacts are very clean. The #712 SPECIAL TRACK SECTION is in good shape, alittle corrosion or coloration on the long silver contact piece. The instruction sheet M2517, has tears, and some pieces missing. All the information is very readable. The Heavy Duty Wrapper is in very good shape. The Box is 100% complete, all 8 flaps, all cardboard there. On one end there is "717 LOG UNLOADING CAR". I will combine shipping on more than one item won. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. TCA-01 Thanks again.
