You are bidding on an American Flyer #920 Southern Railroad Gondola made from 1953 to 1956. All four steps are intact. The lettering is strong. Both knuckle couplers are complete and work well. If you hold it up to the light just right, you can see some rub marks in the paint finish, but you'll never notice them while it's rolling down the tracks. This car rates near C-7, Excellent. The 2010 Greenberg Price Guide lists it at $29.00 in Excellent condition. Sorry, I don't have the box. This car is being sold with no reserve. This is part of a huge estate collection I am selling for a widow in Florida. The collection has been stored in a climate-controlled outbuilding with air conditioning and humidity control. In order to make sure that we do right by her, I am listing everything at 20% to 40% below Greenberg value (adjusted for condition) rather than starting the bidding at 99 cents. I have about 200 more American Flyer items from that estate - engines, cars, track, switches, etc. - including LOTS of gondolas from Southern Railroad and other lines. Are there any particular items you need or would like? If I have them, I can list them on ebay first and will combine shipping to minimize your cost. It doesn't matter to me which order I list them in, so I'll let you tell me. Shipping cost includes insurance and delivery confirmation so read more
