American Flyer 944 Industrial Brownhoist Crane - Rare Variation An American Flyer 944 Industrial Brownhoist crane made from 1952 to 1957 in C-6 (Very Good) condition. The 944 was typically part of the work train sets that the AC Gilbert Company did having the 343/346 Nickel Plate Road 0-8-0 steam locomotive. This is an uncommon piece where "AMERICAN FLYER 944" on the base is printed on the right side rather than on the left side . Also, the base is painted in a darker shade of gray. It is not blue, just a darker gray. There are some scattered minor nicks and scratches on the roof, worn paint around the two control wheels that raise and lower the hooks on the boom, and small rust spots on the steel parts that make up the crane chassis and pulley block on the boom. It is all there, fully functional, and makes a good operating piece or display it in a collection. There is no box. Being sold as is. If you have any questions regarding any specifics, please do ask.
