Original Pre-War American Flyer "O" Gauge Aluminum Zephyr Set with all the Boxes. Number decal on one side of engine starting to flake, rest are nice, Smoke Stack insert is warped, Runs fine in Forward and Reverse, 2 wheels on motor were replaced with correct style wheels. This is the early narrow body engine with manual reverse. Has small scratches and marks in bodies as can be seen in Photo's, Rear truck on Observation Car was replaced with correct style of truck. Inner boxes are complete without any Damage, bottom of set box is fine, top has all side flaps but corners are not connected and is missing a section as can be seen in Photo's. Side label is there but loose from top, has a Gimbels price sticker on it for $10.88 [what a deal!] This is a Great Set to run or Display.
