This one was always a favorite with the kids who visited. Even the wee ones who cannot run trains can operate the whistle. This one worked well last Christmas but it likes a drop of oil now and then and likes time to warm up before reaching maximum decibels. It is of plastic construction The original box is included as well as an instruction sheet and an inspector's voucher from November 1953. The box is worn and has a torn flap which I did not attempt to repair. There's been a derailment, quick warn the train, blow that whistle! Thanks for looking and God bless.
