You are bidding on one 1960 American Flyer boxed Civil War Set,the Washington set # 20655.This very collectable set has been in my collection for many years it is complete and 100% original to include the cannon. I would grade this set as excellent with one exception, the cab has three small areas of paint loss that is pictured, this was not due to abuse or poor handling but as was not uncommon and is due to poor paint adhesion. So if you prefer grade the engine as excellent minus. I have resisted the desire to refinish or touchup these areas as Flyer parts dealers now offer an exact paint match and when properly done you will not be able to tell it was refinished, but will now leave that up to its new owner. There are no other real faults or flaws. The set box is about a five or six it is all intact but is a bit dirty and does show some ageing. See pictures for more details. The engine was bench tested and is in good running order with working smoke and e unit cycling, it has not been run in many years and should be serviced ( cleaned and oiled) for regular lay out use. I will be offering at least one more nice boxed set soon so please check back. Buyer to pay $25.00 for shipping. Have fun bidding.If the buyer wants it I will include the track as a gift.
