If you don’t have the patience to study what I’ve written, and or don’t agree to the terms, then don’t bid. I will not comply with requests to end the auction early. This is for the collector of American Flyer O Gauge 3/16s (a.k.a. 1:64) rare variations: a POST WAR (not a typo) O gauge chugging Hudson tender. I deduce that this was manufactured as an O gauge tender: that the shell was later modified (by adding the fluid applicator hole and front cutout for the smoke tube for use in early S production. But afterwards it was needed to complete a new or repaired O gauge chugger, which should NOT have the fluid access hole on the coal pile and front cutout for the smoke tube. That it bears the catalog # 563C ink stamp indicates that it was created for O gauge use. Note that the lettering is the earlier much more prototypical “New York Central” type. It lacks the American Flyer Lines oval. The casting is solid: no metal rot. Three of the four corner steps are intact. The missing one is at the rear. There’s no rust on the trucks, wheels and axles.
