For sale are three sheets of 6 pieces each of curved fiber roadbed . Fiber roadbed was produced by the AC Gilbert Company for their American Flyer Trains in 1959, 1961 and 1962. This was an effort to provide a less expensive means to dampen the sound on train layouts. Fiber roadbed was cheaper than the rubber roadbed. The fiber roadbed was molded from gray composition material to resemble prototype roadbed. One section of regular S gauge four-tie track fits into the track recesses. What is offered in this auction is three sheets of 6 pieces each of curved fiber roadbed. (3 sheets = 18 pcs) These sheets are just as dealers received them for sale. Most folks say they have never seen the fiber roadbed. Please ask questions before bidding . Payment is by PayPal and I will ship by USPS Parcel Post with delivery confirmation. Buyer pays actual shipping costs, no add ons or handling charges. If you like fiber roadbed, look for another of my auctions where I am listing 100 pcs of fiber roadbed, 68 pcs of straight and 32 pcs of curved.
