S GaugeAMERICAN FLYER Freight Car LotHere's a group of four postwar Flyer Freight cars. All are in need of cosmetic repairs, mainly a good cleaning and polishing. Here's the list:Illinois Central 623 Reefer - Painted plastic body on stamped steel chassis. Steel weighted couplers. Roof corners are worn, and paint is worn through on several sharp edges and features.Both flat and round head screws attaching car body to chassis. No brake wheel, may have been produced that way.Gulf GRCX 5016 #625G Tank Car - Single dome with wire railings, Die Cast Chassis. Steel weighted couplers. Paint is heavily scratched and one Gulf decal has a big chip missing. Some minor rust and bending of railings, should clean up easily. One ladder is tweaked a little.Missouri Pacific 629 Stock Car - This is the version with a plastic, open slat body on a die cast chassis. The plastic shell looks like it should clean up well, you can see where I did a little cleaning on the roof (About a minute's worth). The couplers on this one are unweighted. It has its brake wheel, both doors, and door tracks. No latches on the doors. Roof catwalk area is wavy.LNE 632 Hopper - Grey molded plastic car, with 3 broken steps. Corner posts are intact. Couplers move freely and have brass weights. All plastic truck and wheel parts show efflorescence.The plastic wheels and the couplers read more
