American Flyer A.C. Gilbert S Gauge Erie Depressed Center Reel Car No. 936 in boxYou're bidding on an American Flyer A.C. Gilbert No. 936 Erie Depressed Center Reel Car with its box (pencilled ID). Manufactured 1956. Unlike the 946 I just listed, this item has only good things to point out: The car is especially clean, with very little dust, and even less rust. It appears to be complete and unchanged, both brakewheels in place. The box in is great shape, too: lower flap on open end is torn off (cleanly) and included. Please look closely and ask any questions before bidding. If you can't see a detail clearly from the posted images I can provide higher res. images by email upon reasonable request. This is part of what was my dad's collection of "S" scale trains. He collected it through the 1970's and admired others' setups but never managed to put together one of his own. To my knowledge it's all been in storage since the late 1970's. He collected trains (engines and rolling stock--maybe 100 in all) and accessories-at least 100 pieces, AF, plasticville and bachmann. I'll be selling all of it in no particular order over the fall (I said a few weeks when I started in July, but I think I can stay with it now!). It's just a matter of what order the stuff is unpacked. I'll be the first to admit I am not an expert on model trains. That said, I'm trying to get as much info as I can from various sources and I note any imperfections/irregularities that I suspect would detract from item value. All items are AS IS . Ask questions before you bid. I try to answer within 24 hours.
