American Flyer A.C. Gilbert S Gauge Northern Pacific Reefer Car, No 647 in Box You're bidding on an American Flyer A.C. Gilbert No. 647 Northern Pacific Reefer car with Tuscan roof and ends in blue and yellow AF box. Manufactured 1952-53. This car is fairly clean with some dust and rust--especially visible on sheet metal floor and the door tracks. Brakewheel is present, couplers have black weights(post-'48). I'd classify the box as good condition. Masking tape secures the back seam, the tabs are attached but not very solidly. Car ID is pencilled on end. Please look closely and ask any questions before bidding. If you can't see a detail clearly from the posted images I can provide higher res. images by email upon reasonable request. This is part of what was my dad's collection of "S" scale trains. He collected it through the 1970's and admired others' setups but never managed to put together one of his own. To my knowledge it's all been in storage since the late 1970's. He collected trains (engines and rolling stock) and accessories. I'll be selling all of it in no particular order over the next several weeks(that's what I said when I got started in July, but I think I can stay with it now!).
