Double your traffic. ♦ American Flyer S Gauge 640 Hopper Black Lettering by AC Gilbert Co Link Coupler ♦ Up for your consideration we are offering this gorgeous,vintage American Flyer #640 Hopper with BLACK LETTERING, manufactured by A.C. Gilbert Company in New Haven, Connecticut, c. 1949-53, identifiable by the thick shank with black weight link coupler AND black lettering ~ see description. S Gauge – Gilbert suspended production during WWII as did all other train manufacturers in the United States and when production resumed after the war, Gilbert retooled it trains for the new S-Gauge Marked 12D155 Measures approximately 6 ½” in length (not including couplers) x 2” wide x 2 ¼” in height (from track) This is the version in which e ntire Hopper body is made of grey plastic with AMERICAN FLYER in Black Letters, dating it 1949-1953 Thick shank with black weight link coupler to attach to other cars Item is in good condition with a bit of light surface rust on the metal wheel trucks ~ easily removable, but we NEVER clean our vintage items We believe it to be a grade C-5 to C-6 This is a wonderful collectible, and a great addition to your S-gauge layout or American Flyer collection. ««««« WE GO TO GREAT LENGTHS TO BRING A VAST ARRAY OF THE FINEST AND UNIQUE COLLECTIBLES TO MARKET FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT AND PLEASURE.
