This is the RARE American Flyer HO set 30744 "The Thunderbolt Freight Train" from 1963 . This set has some of the rarest and most desirable of the late era production. The set contains:31045 Wabash 4-6-4 Hudson with smoke (catalog showed 31005 NYC Hudson, but this set never came with the NYC loco); 33010 UP Stock Car (painted car); 33012 SF Box Car (red plastic version); 33122 N&W Gondola car (painted black, has all 4 steps and weight with usual slight warp but NOT cracked in half like most of these cars); 33220 CB&Q Hopper Car (painted on green plastic, has a broken step which is factory because the paint is over the broken end); 33312 Karo Tank Car (all white plastic version); 33521 NP Reefer (has the correct hole in chassis floor, this is the same chassis used in the exploding car); 33558 IC Multi-Purpose Flat Car with 2 containers and bulkheads (P-16D782 casting); 33625 NYC Caboose (red painted version). 32663 transformer; 11 curved track; 1 curved terminal track; 3 straight tracks and on straight with uncoupler unit. The original box is very sound and is complete with insert. Here is your chance to own one of Gilberts rarest HO sets. If you have any other questions, I would be glad to answer any questions. Thanks for your interest.
