NO RESERVE..... This Auction is for a BEAUTIFUL SET of American Flyer 470-471-473 PA/PB/PA Diesel engines. This version (silver painted / metal steps) was manufactured 1954-1957. Also included are the original cardboard shipping cradles / wrapping paper and the original engine wraps. The 470 engine was test run today and was found to operate both forward and reverse with occasional e-unit sticking. The headlight works…..This unit is in beautiful condition with the possibility of the horn being replaced. There also appears to be a possible factory touch-up on the red painted area of the roof. Front decal has very minor flaking and is about 99% complete. The “chief” decal on the port side has a small area that has flaked off. The 473 engine is also in beautiful condition with the possibility of the horn being replaced. Decals are near 100%. The headlight works. The 471 B unit was test run today. The diesel roar functions properly. Both side decals have some flaking. There is the possibility of some areas being lightly touched up. All three engine wraps are in great shape with very legible printing….. Please email us if you require additional pictures or information.
