American Flyer set of 7 cars

You are bidding on a group of 7 American Flyer cars. The four on the left have knuckle couplers and the three on the right have link couplers. All of the couplers and wheel sets appear to be in good condition. I am selling these as a group since they all have some issues, but look great on a layout and run well.

American Flyer 629 Missouri Pacific 629 Stock Car. This item is in very good condition, but has the typical roof warping of some of the early ones. The rest of the body appears in great condition with the brake wheel intact. The steps and catwalk are also in good condition as well as the doors, door latches and door rails. The lettering is somewhat weak.

American Flyer 640 Hopper Car. This car appears to have a black plastic body painted gray. It has the link couplers. Two of the steps have about half of them missing. The car is in overall good condition. It appears to have a weight attached under each wheel set which I don’t recall seeing before on these cars. I don’t know if it was made this way or added later, but appears to be made precisely for this purpose.

American Flyer 638 Caboose. This link coupler caboose has one of the steps broken off and some minor dings and paint chips. The catwalk ends are intact. It does not have a light. It is in overall good condition.

American Flyer 638 Caboose. This knuckle coupler caboose also has one of the steps broken off as well as part of the plastic base of the porch to which it was attached. The roof also has a small piece broken off of the one corner. The paint also has some rubs and nicks. The catwalk ends are intact. It is overall in well-played-with condition. How’s that for a description!

American Flyer 640 Hopper Car. This knuckle coupler hopper car has a gray plastic unpainted body. All of the steps are missing. The lettering is rubbed thin in some places. The hopper part on the inside has some stains which I could not remove. However it is not a bad looking car when running with group of other cars.

American Flyer 924 CRP Jersey Central Lines Hopper Car with "For Bulk Cement Only" printed on both sides. This hopper car is in very good condition with crisp lettering, both brake wheels, intact catwalk ends, etc. The only thing I see wrong is that one of the steps is missing.

American Flyer 631 T&P Gondola. This red painted gondola car has knuckle couplers. One of the steps is broken off. The ladders are painted black which is probably not original although I don’t know. The inside floor has what looks like some tape residue, but I didn’t try very hard to remove it for fear of removing the paint. This is a nice looking car in a consist of other cars.
