Up for auction today is a large American Flyer set #K5206W plus several additional cars and accessories. The auction consists of the following items: A really nice looking American Flyer #326 New York Central Hudson style heavyweight die cast locomotive and tender. This engine has been tuned up and the reverse unit has been rebuilt. The wire harness has been replaced with a cloth covered harness and direct fifth wire. It has an operating headlight and a boiler mounted smoke generator that produces large volumes of smoke (see pictures). This Hudson has an operating air chime whistle and sliding shoe electrical pick up. The exterior of the engine and its accopanying tender are in great condition with only minor playwear. The paint, graphics and cab numbers are all original and clear and bright. All of the engine equipment is original including the smoke box door, pony and trailing trucks and all handrails. This vintage engine grades C-8. Two American Flyer #925 Gulf Oil silver tank cars. One car has the die cast metal frame and the other car is the later model plastic frame. Both cars are complete with very little playwear and no damage. They grade C-7. The Amerrican Flyer #929 Missouri Pacific red stock car. The car is in nice condition and has operating doors.
