AMERICAN FLYER UNION PACIFIC 332 STEAM LOCOMOTIVE Hello and Thanks for Visiting My Auction. This listing is for an American Flyer Number 332 Union Pacific Locomotive 4-8-4. Very nice looking locomotive with very little paint loss on the white strips that run along the boiler. The number board on the right side is missing along with the steps on the left rear of the tender. The link coupler will need replacing as well. No visible signs of rust that I can detect anywhere. This locomotive is going to need some routine maintenance as I have not had an opportunity to check into it to see what issues it may have, but when put on my test board it did power up, but would not run in forward or reverse. Probably a good cleaning will resolve whatever the issue may be.I am selling this locomotive as is, no returns, so please bid accordingly. If you are not prepared to preform maintenance procedures, please do not bid. Please review the pictures for a good overall description of this nice looking engine. Please remember that I am not a train technician, but a collector and a runner and only offer my items from my point of view.I do try and describe my items to the best of my ability and as honestly as I possibly can. But should you find one of my items to have some type of electrical issue, I cannot be responsible for whatever that may be. I will try and help you resolve this issue, but please keep this in mind. Remember also that you are not buying and paying the higher prices that you would from a train or hobby shop, and sometimes these older trains do have issues and most of my trains are over 60+ years, so please keep this in mind when placing your bids.I do not like stating the condition of these locomotives as most often that is a matter of opinion, so you judge for yourself by viewing the pictures that are included. NOTE: The shipping charges shown are based on Ebay's charts for USPS & UPS from the shipping zip code to the furthest point from my home. If the actual charges are less than a couple of bucks from these amounts shown, I will be happy to refund the difference. Thank you for your understanding. Good luck bidding and most of all- have fun!! NOTE: This Locomotive is DC, not AC as I originally had listed. Sorry for the mistake. This is the reason that it did not operate when put on my AC Test Board. I am still learning about these American Flyer trains, so this was an oversight for me. In any event, I have no way to test it since it is DC, so it may operate just fine, as the new engineer of her will have to check this one over for themselves.I did check with a friend of mine who is very knowledgeable with these types of locomotives, and he said that sometimes they will power up on a AC transformer and sometimes they will not, but if in fact they will run, they operate very sluggishly and incorrectly, but will not cause them in motor damage. Cosmeticially it is a nice looking locomotive and does need a good cleaning, but I think ti will clean up nice and make someone a nice additional to their collection. Please remember it needs a coupler on the tender along with one number board as the right side is missing.Thank you for looking and again my appology for the mistake.
