This American Flyer observation car belonged to my father. It has been on display in my house for the past 20 years, and before that was in storage since the 1930's. The paint is original, in fair condition, with some small areas of bare metal and some surface rust. The coupler works as designed and the trucks and wheels are free. The car has a light fixture on the rear platform, powered by a pickup that rides the center rail. One red lens is missing from the rear overhang. The car measures 14 inches in length. I have only lightly dusted the car, which, as you can see, apparently passed inspection by Inspector 4. Note: this is a pre-war Wide Gauge train car.
